Nolan M. Rome is the founder of Vital Nutrient Analytics LLC in Houston, Texas.

Early life and education

Nolan was born in the ‘bayou’ country of southeast Louisiana, graduating as valedictorian of his 1958 high school class. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from LSU in Baton Rouge and an MBA from Loyola University in New Orleans with emphasis in Accounting, Economics and Management. As a result of his scholastic achievements, he was inducted into membership in the professional fraternities of Tau Beta Pi (Engineering), Alpha Chi Sigma (Chemistry), Mensa (Intelligence), and Beta Gamma Sigma (Business).

Professional Career

Nolan retired from full time employment in February 2000, after 38 years in the oil and gas industry, having spent the first 18 years with Chevron Oil and the last 20 with Mobil Oil. Nearly his entire professional career was spent in the energy arena, from process engineering to technical supervision to negotiating and administering commercial contracts, and in business development.
For several years after his retirement, he worked part-time as an independent consultant specializing in the natural gas commercial business arena including audit resolution, litigation support and special project assignments for several energy clients.

Associations

Having maintained an active membership for nearly 50 years in the Gas Processors Association (now the GPA Midstream Assoc.), Nolan served in a 3-year directorship of the New Orleans chapter, over 8 years on a subcommittee of the national Legislative and Regulatory Action Committee (LARAC), and attended more than 25 annual conventions of this international organization. Nolan also was a long-time member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, having first chaired the student chapter at LSU over 60 years ago. In addition, he is a former member of the Natural Gas Association chapters in New Orleans and Houston.

Nolan and his wife, Peggy, are co-founders along with a friend in 2002 of the Holistic Living Network based in northeast Houston and chaired same until 2015. Nolan and Peggy will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in June 2022. They are the proud parents of 3 adult children and are blessed with 4 beautiful granddaughters, the oldest of whom recently got married...life is good!
